So I was playing PerfectWarrior on facebook a little bit ago, and my antivirus program popped up and said there was a trojan in my cache for my browser. I was analyzing the data it gave me, when a second one popped up, and a third. While this was all happening, I only had one window open (and I empty my cache when I close the browser), and that was the PerfectWarrior one. Now I've played this plenty and never had any problems, so I figured it was either one of the ads, or it was something that somehow came from the video Ben posted on here, since it was the only other thing I had looked at while since I opened my browser. To be a little safer, I took the time to block as many of the ads on PerfectWarrior as I could via my HOSTS file. I already have an extensive HOSTS file blocking many ad sites, and known virus sites. I added I think 5 lines to it. There was one set of ads I can't seem to figure out how to block though, the ones linking to social.bidsystem.com I have blocked the target, and the images, but I can't seem to figure out where the text is coming from. If anyone can figure this out for me I'd be glad to add it! You can find a copy of my HOSTS file, including instructions on how to install it on your computer
here. I suggest everyone who is running a stock windows HOSTS file update this! It will make your computer more secure, and limit the ads you see on sites. And it only takes a moment to put it in place!
---edit---
Added one more site to the blocked list.. ads.lookery.com This seems to have removed all the ads on PerfectWarrior completely. Yay! Also, you may need to restart your browser after installing this file before it takes effect.
